McAfee is a long-standing player in the antivirus industry. The company was established in 1988 and is recognized for its firewalls, antispam solutions, file encryption, and public key infrastructure. All of McAfee’s plans include a full-featured malware scanner which will block the entry of malware into your computer system and kill or block the malware that have already penetrated it. McAfee scored consistently high during our tests in both the AV-Test 0-day test, as well as our malware protection test. It also scored 100 percent on our privacy tests.
